Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking an experience senior leader in SME Credit Management, to transform and evolve our debt lifecycle. You will be accountable for the creation, delivery and governance of the SME end to end holistic collections and recoveries strategy. You will have strong people management experience with analytical capabilities to identify and prioritise opportunities that continuously improve our collections.

Key areas of accountability will include:

* Develop and implement our SME Credit Strategy and identify appropriate metrics to measure effectiveness
* Defining, monitoring and managing company Credit Policy to mitigate and reduce exposure to credit risk whilst ensuring regulatory compliance
* Agree and deliver priorities that support the debt lifecycle performance
* Lead the credit team to manage the businesses debt collection, dealing with bulk volume debt recovery as well as bespoke complex collections
* Manage the debt lifecycle’s reporting and analysis to understand, monitor and improve performance against targets
* Lever internal and external networks to ensure adoption of industry wide best practices
* Leading the strategic and commercial relationships with key third parties that support our collection strategy

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

* Experienced in managing a team of 10+
* Proven experience working in either a SME collections or high volume collection environment
* Outstanding credit leader with in-depth knowledge of SME collections, risk management and credit technologies
* You know how to keep stakeholders informed and engaged with clear communication and concrete objectives
* You’ll be a self-starter with a hands on approach
* Success in a senior change management role within a complex environment
* Embedding sustainable customer-focused change initiatives
* Results orientated with focus on customer outcomes, mitigation of credit losses and benefit realisation
* Influential communicator with ability to collaborate and influence a wide number of stakeholders both internally and externally
