I am partnered with a Global distribution organisation looking to take on a Junior Credit Controller into their well-established team. This role would suit a University grad of college leaver with minimal experience looking to pursue a career in finance, specifically Credit Control. You will be tasked with learning and gaining experience in all aspects of Credit Control, to assist the Credit & Transactional teams and Managers. The organisation will also sponsor studies and see you through you CICM Level 2 & 3 Qualifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* To manage the central Credit Control email account
* Receive and process daily customer remittances
* The sending of copy statements & invoices as required
* To create accounts on the sales ledger.
* To allocate cash on the finance system under the control of the Transactional Manager
* To assist the Credit Controllers on cash collection, by means of telephone or email
* Receive, open and distribute daily post
* To process daily cheques
* Assist Credit department with query management, record and manage all customer queries and disputed invoices.
* Assist Profit Centres where appropriate and as directed by Group Credit Manager
* To assist customer maintenance, including names, addresses and email
* Uploading of relevant customer documents onto the sales ledger accounts
* Ad hoc duties as assigned by the Group Credit Manager / Assistant Credit Manager / Team Leader & Transactional Manager
* Assist on dealing with Pro-forma notifications and updating of company Hub

TRAINING AREAS

* Management of cash collection, including good practice techniques and time management including following a structured collection timetable
* Credit assessment, including reading financial statements and the use of key ratios and limit assignment.
* CICM enrolment sponsored by outside training provider, usually over a 18-24 month period

Desirable:
