Portfolio Credit Control are currently partnered with a reputable education business who are consistently growing and improving its credit/finance function. There is a need in the business to recruit for a well-established Income Manager who can give full support to the Head of Income as well as 2 direct reportees within the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has implemented positive change into teams, improved procedures, managed multiple projects and is a forward thinking individual as well as showing clear experience of compliance.

The role holder will be responsible for helping to :

* Support the Head of Income Services in the managing of Income Services and the wide range of multi-functional services it delivers
* Deputise and provide senior cover for the Head of Income Services as required
* Ensure the correct and accurate processing of income received through the multiple College bank accounts, no matter the allocation or receipt type or method, ensuring financial controls are embedded in day-to-day operations and improved upon where needed
* Ensure there is business continuity and resilience within the section, that risks are both highlighted and mitigated where possible, or active plans made to achieve mitigation
* Ensure there is a greater resilience within the section, by becoming an additional senior SME (Subject Matter Expert) in the range of activities undertaken by Income Services, ultimately helping provide advisory knowledge and support for the various payment acceptance channels
* Provide specialist knowledge and become an SME for the atypical Receipting module of the Unit 4 ERP Finance system, Income Manager (and the newly released web-based version, HeyCentric)
* Support and lead on the testing of Income Manager for Unit 4ERP updates, upgrades and bespoke upgrades of Income Manager/HeyCentric
* ·Proactively monitor for and police the activities being undertaken outside of the correct and official procedures/regulations, providing education where needed to ensure future best practice, closing any gaps found
* Enhance and improve reporting, dashboard and KPI capabilities within Income Services and the various third-party reporting systems used, in order to ensure that data and analysis is always easily available and at the heart of decision making
* Ensure policy and procedures remain up to date and always relevant, documenting any gaps and implementing revised procedures where necessary, ensuring we retain checks and controls
* Ensure control accounts and Income Services related bank reconciliation entries remain fully reconciled and that any differences are understood, flagged and resolved promptly
* Hold and maintain detailed understandings around the complexity of the business area payment pathway system integrations in place, and third-party service providers involved
* Provide additional strong and effective relationship management with the multitude of external third-party service providers (TPSP’s) in situ, such as our merchant card acquirer and the multiple payment service providers involved in payments, ensuring there is the ability to have open, honest and professional conversations
* Become an additional trusted finance escalation point for overarching payment issues that require incident response, with the role holder being required to problem solve incidents where issues could lay with any one of the TSPS’s at play
